Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery Resident Journal Club Grants

The objective of this program is to support journal club activities for orthopaedic residents. Participation in this program is open to existing and new journal clubs. The program will enhance residency training by providing educational information on managing an effective journal club, and will teach residents how to evaluate current scientific literature. Grants of $2,500 per program are available.

OREF Clinical Research Award

This award recognizes outstanding clinical research related to musculoskeletal disease or injury. Manuscripts should be original and may be submitted by members of the AAOS, ORS, Canadian Orthopaedic Association, Canadian ORS or sponsored by a member. One award of $20,000 is offered.

Zimmer Orthopaedic Surgery Career Development Award

This award promotes the advancement of scientific and/or clinical training of new orthopaedic surgeons who have a clinical or scientific interest in total joint surgery and/or trauma treatment. The qualified candidate must be an orthopaedic surgeon who is currently completing or has completed formal training within the past four years. The amount of the award will be up to $50,000 for up to one year.
